October Newsletter -
Dear
Sisters:
October will be a very busy and exciting month for our institute!
We begin on Saturday October 16th by sponsoring a class put on by the
American Red Cross. The topic is “First Aid and Preparedness.” It will
be held in the parish hall from 10:00 to 12:00 am and we are planning to
open it up to the parish and the community.
Our Grand President, Pat Fontana, will make her official visit on
October 21st. The theme for the evening is “Garden Harvest.” Plan to
wear floral patterned attire. The meeting will begin at 7:30 pm with
refreshments following. Our refreshment committee is Ellie Jacobs,
chairman, Lupe Cerna and Jean Williams. If you signed up last month to
bring something—DON’T FORGET! Virginia has the list if you need a
reminder.
The Soup Luncheon will be Friday, October 22nd from 11:30 to 1:00 pm.
Virginia and her committee have some exciting things planned, so plan to
attend and bring a friend!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Let’s remember and pray for
all our sisters, past and present, who have endured and continue to
endure this terrible disease.
