Thank you all Knights who attended the ABC trainings with the Police Department. Thank you Steve Hamera for setting up the June Blood Drive. Thanks to all brothers who helped at the Parish Festival on July 1. Thank you to all new and past officers.  I want this year to be a great and memorable year. Father Kelly has accepted the position as our chaplain.

Old Business:

  • Lambtown at Hall Park this year.  All arrangements have been made for a successful beer concession per GK Jeff McCarty; however, an insurance certificate is still needed.

New Business:

  • Past GK Wolfe Walen urged members to come see the movie Bella.  It is suggested that organizations hold preview nights at local theaters or Parish Halls.
  • Trustee Jeff Poarch will head the Tootsie Roll Drive the weekend of October 19-21.  It will be at Safeway, but not Wal-Mart.
  • DGK Tenari Tuatagaloa will head an exploratory committee for an Oktoberfest.  Possible date would be September 30.
  • Next Blood Drive is August 12th at the Parish Hall. We need to get donations up to 20 pints.
  • Members voted to approve the use of Credit cards at our events and for ticket sales.  It might help with selling tickets to those without cash or checks on hand.  Trustee Jeffrey Howitson will run the program.
  • Parish semiformal fundraising dinner has been put on hold and will be rescheduled.
  • Members supported the idea to sell car magnets that say “Keep Christ in Christmas” as a fund raiser to be sold after Masses.
  • PGK Wolfe Whalen talked about his letter to the Boston Brewing Company for an explanation and apology for their on-air gaffes in Boston, MA several years ago.

District Deputy Report:

  • Watch the movie “Bella”.  It is a great movie to show.
  • Get 100% membership as early as possible.  Get your membership blitz going.  Use your 4th degree in all their regalia to showcase your organization.
  • Get new members to 1st degree ceremony in Vacaville.
  • Attend Chapter Meetings for great information and ideas.

Insurance Agent Report:  None available

4th Degree Report:  Upcoming 4th Degree Installation ceremonies will be Rohnert Park (Feb. 2); Sacramento (April 14), and Elkhorn, NV (Nov 10)

Good of the Order:  Prayers for Charlie Valla, John Gorman, Nick Spaniola, Vince Giracello and his wife Maureen who is supporting him in his time of need.

The meeting adjourned at 8:40 P.M. with beverages and pizza.
