The Saint Vincent De Paul Society and its Food Locker are dedicated to helping anyone in need of assistance without regard to color, race religion or sexual orientation. The Society is funded thru donations from the Parishioners of Saint Peter Catholic Church and residents of the City of Dixon.
The Society provides emergency help for those who suddenly find themselves in difficult circumstances. We provide the following services: food, shelter, housing, transportation, and financial help with purchasing medications, fuel and financial aid with utilities in their homes. The aid we supply is not limited only to the above stated services and are only limited by our financial resources available and the nature of the help requested
The Society Food Locker is available to those who meet the strict guidelines we have set forth to qualify for the program. The food Locker supplies enough nutritious food for a family to significantly supplement its food supply for two weeks. The food locker program goal is to reach out to families and seniors within our Community who cannot afford food for themselves.
The members of the Society ask that you pray for them that they may continue their work with humility and dignity and that they may truly bear witness to the love of God for all people.
